When first used, we heated water in a separate kettle on the stove. Just heat it to a low simmer. Pour water into the Half Moon Teapot along with a blooming tea ball. The flower was good. We poured a cup of tea and enjoyed it. We left the kettle on the counter so it would definitely get cooler before using it again. When we wanted to pour the second cup from the teapot, after about 15 minutes the glass spout of the teapot broke off in the cup.Moreover - the description says that there are 3 tea balls in the range. We have three with the same flavor (peach).
