We bought this because we have to keep our 90 pound lifeguard on a rope in the lake because he's so zoned when he swims that he doesn't want to hear to come back to us.. we went camping and had kayaks and we were wondering if he was tired. In the middle of the lake it keeps him afloat. We put tape on the hooks at the top of the vest to hold the rope just because our dog is very strong. (My husband has pieces of pool noodles around Pieces of the vest with a rope to keep the dog from getting tangled up.He swam at 30-45 minute intervals and was able to stop and relax for a few seconds when he needed to.If he had enough w ar but near the shore he pulled like mad to get back on his feet. The ribbon, pulled from the hook, remained attached to the vest. Velcro at neck and under chest held up better than expected.
