My last shaving brush was a real badger but it was a budget item and it started falling out almost immediately. When it came time to buy a new one, I decided on synthetics after reading about the brutal practice of breeding and killing badgers for their fur. Based on the reviews and value for money I bought this brush and couldn't be happier. This is the best shaving brush I've ever had. It is soft and comfortable, lathers beautifully and rinses off immediately. He hasn't lost a single hair. It is far superior to anything but the very expensive natural brush. Don't disappoint yourself with a crappy brush. This winner.
