I wanted to remove my cameras from the house after reading that the ring does not inspire confidence with your information. I have no idea if Nest (Google) works the same way, but I wasn't inclined to shell out another $600 for Nest cameras outdoors. So I decided to try this case with my two internal cameras. Good news. It works. The bad news. Yes, there's some vignetting and glare from night vision, but that's around the edges and the camera can still see it normally. I agree with a previous reviewer that the 90 degree angle at which the cable exits the case is a terrible design. It would also be nice if the mount would work with the camera's original magnetic base, but it doesn't. So you need to place it outside somewhere where you can screw the bracket. It's highly adjustable, though, so there it is. I have both cameras under an awning. I can wrap some tape around the case where it snaps into place. I'm not sure if it's fully waterproof. Also, I used them in the middle of winter, so I'm sure the heatsink design is on the back to keep the camera cool, but we'll see how it performs on a 35 degree day in the summer. Overall I award 3 stars. Fix the glare and the 90 degree bend in the camera cable and it's a 5 star product.
