I have a 10 year old(?) Igloo Ice Cube cooler. My radiator was designed for a drain pipe, but this particular model didn't have one. This freezer definitely needs it! Installation took about 10 minutes. The instructions had a useful diagram and dimensions of the parts. The small area I drilled into the radiator is hard plastic so there was no foam. Place a plastic nut in the wall of the cooler where there is room to turn/tighten around the spout. Use a pen/marker to trace the inside of the hole. Drill a small pilot hole in the center of the circle that extends to the outside of the cooler. On the outside I made a hole for the spout with a pocket drill (you might have used a hole saw as well). plastic scraps. There is no rubber washer on the spout for a secure seal. Also, I didn't want to over tighten it since it's all plastic. I used Loctite Clear Silicone Waterproof Sealant (because it's cheap) on the parts that go through the hole I just drilled. It took about 24 hours to fully cure. - Dress tight. I made sure the lid cord was on top so it wouldn't snag on the bottom/surface. Mine is probably installed at the lowest point while allowing the plastic nut to turn/tighten inside the radiator. I took it camping for a few days last week and it worked perfectly! Hopefully the spout/lid will last another 10 years.
