Review on Sennheiser CX 300S In-Ear Headphone with Smart Remote - Black (One-Button Control) by Aneta Jaszczyk ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Normal product, but wanted more for the money.

In general, I insultingly wasted three thousand dollars. Although there are various brands available in the same as well as greater price ranges, my preference goes to the Sennheiser sound. When I first put them in my ears, I was taken aback by the flat sound and sharp highs that they produced. This was a very unsettling experience for me. I was concerned that I had purchased a knockoff, but both the packaging and the headphones themselves are of a quality that is commensurate with their price point. I have participated in a number of online discussion groups in the hope of locating the source of the problem. It has been discovered that these headphones must be fastened directly into the ear canals in order to function properly. To clarify, these are not my first pair of in-ear headphones; previously, I've owned Sennheiser cx300 and Sony mdr ex-450 (which, by the way, are not worth purchasing because they produce bass that sounds like plasticine). With those headphones, I did not experience any issues of this nature. There is not a single acquaintance who can wear the full ear pads; only the medium ones will do (if you screw them in until you feel discomfort). If, on the other hand, you are successful in inserting them far enough into your ear canal, the sound will become more balanced, and it will acquire better lows (with a large margin even for swotting lovers). But, removing tops (certain sounds) is sadly only possible through the equalization, and doing so results in the entire elimination of the higher frequencies. It is impossible to listen to them for your own personal enjoyment in the general sense. The sound quality there is not terrible considering the cost, which is a shame because the fit is not pleasant and the tops are cutting. It's too bad I can't give them back to you. Purchasing is something that I strongly discourage doing. There were low-cost TWS courses available at a price that was just slightly higher than what I paid for these headphones. Shame on Sennheiser!

Pros
  • Construction excellence (the wire is soft, does not tan, looks reliable) Set (new ear pads, case) (replacement ear pads, case)
Cons
  • Sound (see remark) (see comment) Landing
