Impressed with the sound quality and value for money.

I was looking for something to improve the audio quality on zoom meetings/work calls etc. I used a crappy headset or my webcams with built in microphones, both of which had terrible sound quality. I was looking for nicer headsets but wanted to be able to use my good headphones that I already have. I finally decided to try the USB mic, although it's a bit overkill for phone calls. There are loads of USB mics on Amazon, some with knobs and controls on the mic, some cardioid, some not etc. It was hard to choose, but this one went on sale and I liked the design, which goes back to basics , no buttons or dials and sturdy stand. It also had a cardio pattern that I thought would help with background noise cancellation. So I plugged it in and made some cheeky records and WOW that sounds amazing! With zero EQ out of the box it sounds like a rich radio voice sound. I have no idea why anyone would want to spend more on a USB mic, this thing is perfect! I installed a program called Noisegator and now I can type on my noisy mechanical keyboard and the microphone doesn't activate until I speak. Very happy with this setup, highly recommend if you need something for large/team meetings that sounds good and doesn't require a headset. The only thing that worries me is that the locking ring holding the microphone screw made an audible rattling noise. After playing around with it, I finally figured out how to loosen the screw and remove the retaining ring. No more rumble!

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
