This is a fluoride free toothpaste so I didn't buy it for that reason. I actually wanted a fluoride toothpaste but not the standard mint flavored toothpaste. This toothpaste tastes really great and doesn't overwhelm your mouth. You must use enough toothpaste to cover all of your teeth. I use an electric toothbrush that takes two minutes to cycle. By the time I'm in the fourth and final quadrant, there won't be much toothpaste left. It's probably because this toothpaste doesn't foam, or maybe because of the detergent (silica). I had my quarterly brushing yesterday and the hygienist noted an overall improvement and I didn't make any changes other than switching from a big brand mint toothpaste to this toothpaste so I think that's a sign that these Toothpaste works for me.
