I wanted something to match my beautiful black 2007 Honda Element. The bare pipe didn't work and the chrome tip I had was ruined when I replaced the exhaust system. I bought it "used" for less than $9 and figured I couldn't lose at that price. It arrived in perfect condition as if it had never been touched. I wasn't prepared for how long it would take, but it's my fault for not double checking. It barely fitted my exhaust pipe as the pipe turns sharply to the left on my Element making room for the hanger. As a result, the tip does not sit completely straight, but this is normal in my opinion. The bolts/connectors hold the pipe in place well, although I think I may have snapped one of them when reinstalling after my repair (read on). The only comment I had on the reviews was that the paint started to blister after a few days. It took me a few weeks to finish, mainly on the inner lip. Decided to repaint in matte black from Rust-O-leum. First I removed the poor finish and used a thin steel wool to roughen up the surface. I applied several coats of paint and then baked in the oven as recommended on the tin. It was quite a smelly test but I hope it helps the finish survive winter driving. So I spent about $15 on a $9 exhaust tip and several hours of painting and curing. Looks good, but we'll see if it holds up.
