Review on πŸ”§ Assenmacher SP1412 Thin Walled Spark Plug Socket: 14mm, 12-Point Speciality Tool by Edwin White

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits 1.8L Nissan Versa

I used this tool to change the spark plugs on my sister's 2007 Nissan Versa and it worked great. Please note that this rating is based on the 1.8 liter engine. Not sure if it will fit on the smaller 1.6 liter engine. I first went to a competitor to buy this tool and was outraged that they wanted to double the price advertised on Revane. So I ordered it with first class delivery. The material holding the spark plug is perfect, not too loose and not too tight. A gentle pull is enough to remove the spark plug from the tool. I've had other spark plug tools get stuck in the cylinder because the rubber was too tight. If you choose to use this for Versa, allow at least two hours. You need to remove part of the intake hose, move the entire intake manifold and throttle body to one side. You will also need a swivel small to large extension, 8mm, 10mm and a 12mm socket. If necessary, buy a throttle body cleaner and some lint free rags to clean the throttle body as you will have access to clean it. thoroughly.

Pros
  • 14mm 12 point spark plug head
Cons
  • Some little things
