I love this 2 in 1 coffee maker!

While I'm not a fan of another appliance on the counter, I prefer convenient, hot, well-brewed coffee. I'm now a fan of this coffee maker, which serves my husband and I every morning and gives me a 12-ounce cup in the afternoon. Delivering a 2-in-1 should be more than a standard manufacturer and I'm impressed with Hamilton Beach's smart design. Our coffee maker needs to park under the top shelves, which is easy to do with this 14" tall coffee maker. I have long used the "handy cart" among our makers (kept our wood countertops for years and now glides smoothly onto tile With that, we're pulling our brewery forward. As we go along, Hamilton Beach needs a lot of floor space. About 12" left to right and 22" front to back. The good news is that the top of the coffee maker isn't as hot and is steamy like our old coffee makers so once the coffee is brewed I can put it back in the parking lot under the counter for pouring and I haven't dripped/spilled trying to navigate a space that's too small happy with that positive trait for me.tons of homes with quality coffee makers - lots of keurigs.it's a big one too Piece of countertop gear, and I wouldn't trade this Hamilton Beach for Keurig with two options. It seems wasteful to whip up K cups and I have yet to find the right ratio for my ground coffee in a do-it-yourself can. But for an afternoon cuppa, I easily justify a K cup of my favorite dark roast. Design: Decanter Side: The buttons above the decanter are clear and simple. The carafe slides in and out smoothly (no jerking or tipping over to take it out or put it back in). The coffee is very hot (plus). The earth basket lifts up easily and the water tank is just big enough for me to pour water without any spilling/dripping/dripping. Custom Side Cup: Stool design to (a) hold homemade capsules or K-Cup doubles as a coffee cup holder. This riser is easy to remove if (a) you want to remove/replace it or (b) you have a large travel mug. I'm 7 3/4" tall - I had to tip it under the dispenser a bit but found it smooth. The finish is a matte black that conceals fingerprints better (than glossy). The rear (black) cable is ( approx.) 21" long, so like most coffee makers it should probably be closer to the outlet (so you can pull it out to pour water if it's under the overhead cabinets). What struck me is the best part about the one Mug was how much tastier and stronger my regular K-Cup brand mug (12oz) and hotter than the Keurigs I've used.(I know you set the temp on the Keurig and even that H-Beach can without temperature setting was hotter.) Carafe side also produces a smoother and hotter(ter) cup of coffee than our former HB coffee maker Seconds For a 12 ounce mug 3 minutes The "noise" on the carafe side seems standard - slanted in rich tion quieter than many previous manufacturers K-Cup side is louder as expected - but not a problem for me - short heat up and dosing cycle Each side has its own external water level sensor. 2 hour warm cycle. Programmable (which I don't use). individual "cup" is "done". (easy brushing for me) I'm VERY happy with this Hamilton Beach!
