I purchased this product for my 2007 GM truck after the original antenna finally failed. It looks great and was easy to install with the hardware kit that came with it. After installation, I noticed that the radio stations I received through the standard antenna were either weak or disappeared altogether. Wanting this cool looking antenna to work I cleaned the contact pads again and still no real performance. Disappointed, I bought a new OE antenna and, you guessed it, all my base stations are back. So bottom line: if you mainly use Spotify and want your truck to look cool, buy this. Or, if your antenna is on the roof of your car, buy one (guess here). However, if you're actually someone who listens to the radio, buy an antenna high enough not to clutter the roofline and it will actually work.
