When I first received the hand blender and took it out of the box. I was very impressed that they looked very good, handled well and even had an amazing storage compartment. When I started using it I started mixing speed number one, I thought I made a mistake because it was spinning too fast. I wanted to brake him but I couldn't because he was in first gear. When it comes to speed, you don't notice a difference between 1 and 4, in fifth gear it's even faster. I understand that when I say fast this is an opinion, but I bought this to replace the ToastMaster blender. I plug them in and turn them on. I'm telling you, this new speed is one speed faster than my old hand mixer's 5th speed. That's the problem where the mixing is supposed to be slow and with this hand mixer I can't slow down.
