Review on Leviton 7090 M Incandescent Lampholder Removeable by Nathan Akers

I ordered this to replace a full socket made in China I bought from Revain in 2015 because the rotary switch was too hard to turn. Today it came in a "soft" packaging. As mentioned in some previous reviews, the case may have been deformed during shipping. The lamp did not fit in the socket, but with the help of pliers I was able to restore the body enough to insert a light bulb. After connecting the wires and checking, the bulb lit only in bright light. I checked the filaments with an ohmmeter, everything is fine. Thinking that maybe the contacts in the cartridge weren't touching the contacts on the lightbulb, I lifted the contacts slightly and fully inserted the lightbulb, but that didn't help. When I flip the switch there are two positions where the light doesn't come on and two where the light shines brightly. Neither the low nor the middle position works. UPDATE: Revain ordered a free replacement and I am returning the damaged one. Thanks Revin
