it's a beast! Best in Standup Paddleboarding

Received this on the very best day after a friend did a lot of research and wanted to buy two of these. I thought for $280 I might as well take a chance. Before taking it out I pumped it up to test and it's a monster. he is fat really fat. If you're only experienced with fiberglass surfboards or SUP boards, you'll be surprised at how thick they are once you inflate them. I think it's even thicker than a lot of inflatable boards, but I honestly haven't examined them up close or measured them with a tape measure, so who knows. Anyway, just for fun, I put one end on the couch and the other on a chair, with a completely free center, and sat down. It held my 180 pounds with just an inch or two of flex, which impressed me. I was wondering why we didn't buy one or two of these sooner. So I was finally able to get it out on the lake and it took me about 5 minutes to pump it up - I was going fast and wanted to push myself. I forgot to put on a big fin and the wind was a consistent 5-10mph with gusts up to 25mph. Without this fin I definitely had tracking issues and was only able to make 2-3 strokes in each direction before turning in turned one way or the other. I can't say for sure but I think it would be a lot easier if I put this fin in place. OK. It's fairly light, the D-rings are pretty strong and I'm pretty sure it can handle a ton of weight (a friend of mine has laid himself, his wife and baby on it in calm water and had no problems). Problems: it's a bit bigger than it should be, no patch glue came with it, just a patch, over time I could see abrasions from parking lots, sand, rocks, twigs/logs etc, which quickly broke it (and all the others inflatable ), and I've already got a bit of ringing in there. I'm not sure how it happened because I don't remember hitting rocks and I don't think it was from parking or sand, but so far it hasn't affected air holding capacity. I wouldn't do that again in the future. Feel free to buy another one, but maybe look for one that's smaller and less bulky.
