The pottery itself is fully functional.The lower review is because of the coloring. It is advantageous to not glaze over the pot, which would be best for the plants. But some of them are too light, thin, or barely colored such that they discolor.I understand the quality could be better. I received 6 pots colored in gray. I planted the same items with the same water cycles. One pot held color well, with only minor discoloring. The other pots has discoloration all over, with some of the color coming off onto the soil.
