Probably one of the most aggressive adhesives I've seen in a product. Once the mounting plate is stuck, the thing isn't going anywhere. I cleaned the tile surface in the shower very well with alcohol (IPA). Once you've applied the glue, you don't get much opportunity to adjust, so make sure you position it correctly the first time (maybe that's why they give you an extra sticky mounting plate in case you screw up the first one). I got lucky on the first try. If I were to install another, I would mark my position with painter's tape and slowly peel off the backing as it presses against the tile and aligns itself, rather than removing the backing entirely before applying it to the eye.
