An improvement over the previous generation baseplate
This backing pad really improves the performance of the original Meguiar dual action polisher. The previous red baseplate was too small to generate heat and electricity for the pad to rotate freely. This new backing plate moves the pad down even with light pressure to really work while buffing. Very happy and great price.
