Fiction! Updated July 2019

I finally got my old dog hammock right - it was peeling off leaving little black coating spots on the tan seats of my Subaru Crosstrek. I was looking for a hammock that would protect the edges of the back seat - my labrador kept getting the seat dirty when jumping in the car because the hammock would ride up when he jumped and his feet would hit the cushions instead of the hammock. the clothing. I don't usually buy products without reviews, but I decided to take a chance. I'm so glad I did! The hammock is wide - it fits in a much bigger car than mine. It's easy to put on and I like the soft pads that hold the cover to the seat (you tuck them between the seat and backrest). My old hammock had hard plastic discs that were difficult to refill. This design is much simpler and very efficient. The fabric is a million times better than an old hammock - soft but durable and double-layered. The fabric on the back is covered with small dots that prevent the cover from slipping. They are part of the fabric and look like they won't come off with washing or rubbing. I love that this hammock has a side guard that hangs off the side of the seat - it really protects the seat when the dog jumps in. Hooray! I left a colorful beach towel on the hammock so my cute old dog can see where he's going when he jumps in the car. The hammock is matte black and should appear like a black hole to my visually impaired dog. I am very happy with my wonderful new hammock. Update: 7 Apr '16 Still loving this seat/hammock cover! Washed several times in the washer and dryer and still looks new. Like I said, it's a lot wider than my back seat and I think it'll fit nicely in a full-size pickup truck or Suburban. I use it on a Subaru Crosstrek. It's very easy to get in and out of the car, keeps out hair and dirt that gets on my dog's paws and is easy to clean when needed. It remains the best rear seat protector I've tried. I also like the security - when used as a hammock, the bottom of the back seat isn't visible, making it a great place to store things you don't want people to see from the outside. The hammock function also helps keep dogs in the back seat. I use the harness that attaches to my dog's harness while I drive, but I detach it when I have to leave my dog in the car while I run to the grocery store or elsewhere. The hammock keeps dogs away from the front seat. Update July 2019 Still loving this hammock! I can't believe I've had it this long because it still looks brand new. My old Lab passed away 2 years ago and after waiting a few months I was given a very sweet puppy who has grown to a 75lb stuffy mix. He's cute but likes to claw around in the back seat before getting in the car. The hammock shows no signs of daily dog claw infestations. I wish my car seats were made of this fabric!
