I hope this saves you from unwanted inquiries!

After moving out of state, fliers were left on my door by religious groups, vendors, charities, and lawn care services. Before this move we lived in a more remote area where there was harassment, but not often. It was unfortunate that he had just moved into this house and was being bombarded with harassment. The last time was the last straw. Here in this state, and probably many others, companies are forcing college students to ship their products door-to-door. This time for spraying insects. The guy talked my husband into signing a $400 contract. Year. Ridiculous. I was so angry. In my opinion, some husbands shouldn't be allowed to open the door. The husband was persuaded by complaining to the guy that there were ants in the garage. To yell out loud, it's ants, not giant Gila monsters. A little raid and they disappear. These vendors try to scare people into worrying that there will be a major infestation. We live in Idaho, not Florida. Luckily I checked the law and most states have a 3 day cooldown on door to door sales. I called this bug company this morning and told them in no uncertain terms that we don't want or need their business. Nevertheless, they called back and canceled the contract. I don't want to sound antisocial, but that's enough. I received the stickers and immediately put one on the window next to the doorbell. That phrase covers almost anyone trying to sell you a bunch of crap. I hope the wording works.
