I purchased this item to connect my USB powered Scarlet 2i2 3rd Gen to my MacBook Air'20. Which works great; However, if you have a hard case for your MacBook Air, it won't fully fit the Thunderbolt ports. So you need to grab the bottom of the case to secure it properly. Before I bought this I read that someone asked this question about whether it would work with a hard case. The answer was yes. And I'm here to say no. That person may have had an older MacBook Air. Anyway, it works fine, I just hope the developers of this product consider the hard case in the next update. Otherwise it works great and the shipping was faster than I thought.
