Review on 🔇 Premium Noiseblocker NB-BlackSilent Fan XS-1: Ultra Silent 50mmx10mm, 3000rpm 3-Pin, 16 dBA, 6.77 CFM by Zach Flores

I used this fan as a replacement fan in an old Nintendo Gamecube. You need to 3D print to replace the original mounting bracket provided by Nintendo because the original Nintendo fan used non-standard screw placement. I also used standard fan screws instead of the screws that came with the NB BlackSilent fan. You can also cut and splice the wiring that comes with the fan for a neater and cleaner installation as this fan has quite a long wire for such a small fan. I'm not including the ease of installation in this review as I went for a very custom installation.Pros: Quiet and reliable. The best 50mm fan on the market. Cons: The screws that come with the NB BlackSilent fan are quite small and easy to cut when installing them in the fan. I had to switch to standard fan screws, which are a bit wider and longer. Also, be careful not to over-tighten or you'll strip off any strings formed. Other: I tried to use this fan in other projects, I found that this fan doesn't like to run on 5 volts. I do not classify it as a minus, since 5 volts are not included in the fan specifications. However, this should be taken into account if you use this fan in constant voltage mode and regulate the speed via the power level. For speed control you really want to use the 3rd wire or keep the voltage above 5 volts.
