Review on Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM lens, black by Ada Sz ᠌

Impressions from the purchase are good, buy.

The colors and colors are good, almost like the older brother 85L 1.2 but crappy autofocus, only at 85 it somehow moves the lens and at 50 it moves quickly even smartly but it’s still no use. If there is not enough light, it drives the focus and cannot catch. everything works quickly, but under these conditions, other glasses work quickly. When I bought it, I counted on a quick focus in the dark, but I got no focus or sharpness. On covered apertures, it works like everyone else. This is not a faceless reportage zoom for you, but art glass. This is the main difference for which I paid 50 thousand. Well, you yourself understand the universal 50mm staffer, and after all, there is no alternative to it! The rest are either manuals (zeiss and a watering can) or junk (samiyang token tamrons and other exotics, including from the USSR) The only high-quality similar autofocus Sigma, I had a year, it sold, it turns yellow, although the glass is excellent with good light, I recommend it to people with limited The rest there 1.8 or 1.4 are no match for him, completely different weight categories and only the blind will not notice the difference. So whatever one may say, Canon is out of competition here too.

Pros
  • Lightweight, compact, well made.
Cons
  • Soapy, poor autofocus, although it is on the 5D markIII. If you shake it, something rattles in the lens block, although it works properly.
