I expected them to stay the size of a longer rectangular towel. You need to remove pieces of white fluff from all sides. As the rags were exposed to Covid and were not even washed hot, a natural, very mild, unscented detergent was used and then dried at the lowest possible temperature on normal hotel machines. After painting twice, they are the size of a large, almost perfectly square, thin washcloth. Disappointing as I really wanted the larger fabric to stay close to my order but I couldn't do better than wash them with a rag to use cold only and then air dry wasn't an option and I did neither should it. I will be using and ordering two packs so I throw them away as they are too dirty or dried out to store and I would say while you anticipate shrinkage and not wait for a wash. full sterile hot water and dry maybe you have better luck and better woven idk but if for a restaurant or professional setting make sure you like them before over ordering like i did for my home , and almost quit on business and on time. but had the same problem. I will search further.
