Review on πŸ”Š Moukey M20-1 Passive Bookshelf Speakers Pair for Home Stereo System - 100W Peak Power Home Theater Speakers, 2.0 Near Field Audio Speakers, 5-Inch Wooden Enclosure, Wall-Mountable by Linda Wood

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Clean highs and slightly unnatural lows

First of all, this is a really good speaker. I'm an amateur musician who only has one album. Recently my Eris E5 speaker broke on my monitor. I don't want to buy the same speaker. The design of Eris E5 is a little ugly for me :) I decided to buy a passive speaker and a mini amplifier. I want to budget one. Although there was no Moukey bookshelf review on YOUTUBE, I read the reviews in full on Revain and bought it. My setup is as follows. Presonus Studio 2/4 audio interface (budget but really good D/A out) => U200BT TPA3116 mini amp (only about $30 at Revain) => Moukey bookshelf. I want to compare this speaker to the Eris E5 ($125 for one speaker). )High: I was surprised because this Moki had a really good high. The vocals are really good and natural. And I could hear the reverb tail in the music. I don't seem to have heard it on the Eris E5. The soundstage is really good. So wide for me. Each vocal layer and instrument is properly divided into a soundstage. Wow! So listening to music is very good. I think this speaker is enough for my home recording. Lows: While the highs are too good to be true, the lows are a little disappointing to me. Eris E5 is a win in that regard. As you know, the bass part is very important for the music. I think the bass nuance of Moukey speakers is limited. A bit awkward. The kick drum is normal, but the problem is the bass part. I could listen to the full bass part, but it doesn't impress me. Luckily my U200BT amp has a bass control. So I built up my bass part. But as you know, a speaker that is not good for bass is not good for bass adjustment. However, if I increase the bass by 20 percent, it becomes more balanced and better for me. I think the woofer will perform better after a while as I'm writing this review three hours after I set it up. :) My conclusion is the following. This is a really good speaker. I can't believe it's only $65 for a pair. I saved a lot of money for my monitor speaker. As you know, there are thousands of passive speakers and amplifiers in different price ranges. Humans are always wandering in the ocean. However, I found this speaker. It has bassline limitations. But actually I'm happy. :) Thanks for the good speaker.
