I really like these shoes. I admit they spend most of their time on my feet, NOT running. I'm a fashion photographer and I spend a lot of time on hard concrete floors in the studio or outdoors. I always know when I need new shoes. My ankles hurt at the end of a long day. They have great padding and support. Finally, ASICS offers excellent cushioning support. Since I tend to walk on the balls of my feet rather than the classic heel-to-toe, I would have liked a little more padding under the balls of the feet. However, they are comfortable and provide the support I need. A limitation. I love/prefer street/road trail running. This can be dirt trails, cinder trails, gravel trails in parks, or my own 1 mile dirt trail. They don't offer enough ankle support and stability for this type of running and I prefer to wear low Merrill shoes (not a running shoe per se, but great stability and support). If you want really good running shoe cushioning, this is for you.
