I like this support more than the one my doctor ordered. It's less intrusive, more convenient, and still works just as well or better. I've recently learned that it's better (for me, at least) to wear a brace during work that causes back spasms than to try to "catch up" after the injury worsens. I was able to weed through the fire barrier around our house without sharp pain the first time because I wore a bandage while I was working. Cooling after work is still necessary and helped prevent cramps I'm sure.
