These amazing rugs. I appreciated the padding around the elbows. The one I got from my doctor just has a small square pad in the middle. I will say I have a small hand and I started with medium then large and now very large and I wouldn't even recommend very large for a man if you don't mind it being a bit tight. The extra large fits me with a small hand, but it's snug. That would be the perfect size for kids
