We have replaced the holey plastic nozzles with small rubber nozzles that often get clogged. I was hoping that the front ring on this new one could be easily removed for cleaning. That. Under the ring is a metal plate with holes, a rubber gasket and that's it. My previous shower head could not be disassembled. It was just done. The check valve works well. No water leaks out during operation. Considering it's most likely an all-plastic part in a plastic case, I doubt it'll last long, but hey, it's $10. The only metal part I see on it is the stainless steel plate that water is passed through. This is the part that gets clogged by hard water, so it's easy to clean.
