Review on Stylish and Safe: Bell Bullitt πŸ‘‘ Helmet in Flow Gloss Gray/Black - Size Medium by Robert Viher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I bought a Torc T1 to compare case sizes.

I bought a Torc T1 and this Bell Bullitt helmet so I could compare shell sizes. To be honest I like the look of the Torc T1 better and who can argue that $199.99 is a lot better than $399.99. The Torc T1 has a slight shaping at the top, which I prefer, and you can cover all the vents, including those on the forehead, if you're riding in cooler weather. It also came with a prettier tote bag (who cares), but it's embroidered and you can carry it like a small book bag. Aside from most of the other explicitly mentioned features listed in both helmets. The size of the overall helmet could not be determined. For me I am a small helmet size and I didn't want to carry around a larger helmet in size and weight. I've also had mixed reports about the weight of these helmets. Bell offers 3 case sizes. I got both on the same day which is so great. I put both retro helmets disassembled on my flat table top and the shell of the Bell helmet is significantly smaller. Looks like an inch shorter. I haven't even tried Torc T1 yet. You can see other reviews that match. I knew I wouldn't ride in cold weather. that's not an option for me. and while I love the look of the extra bar on top of the T1, it's not enough for me to carry the extra Torc T1 surface on my shoulders while a +/- 75mph wind is trying to lift my head. My throat hurts just imagining that. Also, Bells' reputation was great and I grew up with it. I should comment on my opinion if my head would be bigger. maybe a medium. or XL. There is no doubt that this decision would have gone in favor of the Torc T1. The shell size would most likely fit my helmet size better, and all other preferred attributes, including price, would have made that decision in Torc's favour. thirty; @shield hinges front to back, Torc T1 35" vs. Bell Bullitt 34"; @shield hinges top to bottom, Torc T1 34.25" vs. Bell Bullitt 33.5"; Face opening width at eye level, left to right, Torc T1 8.5β€³ versus Bell Bullitt 8β€³; mid opening height, Torc T1 4.5" vs. Bell Bullitt 5. Overall, I wish they both had more safety tech, but at the price of a Bell Bullitt. Comparing my husband's $270 Bell Qualifier DLX MIPS, I'm definitely disappointed that it doesn't have any additional safety technology. The .Bell Bullitt is a bit tight and I'm hoping that the leather and padding will give a bit over time.Bell Bullitt pushes the hair against my forehead every time, no matter what my strategy. It is annoying.Lightweight for its retro style but weighs more than other full face helmets that cost over $100 less.I'm considering comparing my husband's Bell Qualifier DLX MIPS.
