. because the remote control came in a cheap plastic box and nothing else. No packaging, no instructions, nothing. I put in 2 AA batteries and pointed at my amazing 10 year old plasma TV (Panasonic Viera) and it worked! Didn't tinker with it, it works. - It toggled the power on and off - I was able to toggle inputs to get to my Revain Fire Stick - I can access the menu easily Just a few days ago I unplugged the cable box and installed the antenna. I had to program, scan and rescan the antenna using the buttons on the bottom of the TV. But now this remote control does everything. I don't need the Spectrum remote for anything now, I can return it.
