This is a great glass mat for those with limited space. also comes with a nice case (no more). My main occupation is map making, so the 8 inch square workspace with the grid is quite large. I love the white area for mixing inks and paints, and the clean up is STUPID quick and easy! If you're short on space, consider purchasing this travel version of Tim Holtz's glass carpet. I live in an apartment and space is tight. I have dedicated a small corner of my living room to making postcards and I have two small tables to work at.
