I took a chance because I liked the automatic function and the elegant style. But the sound was disappointing. Bluetooth audio worked well through my JBL clamshell speaker, but audio was weak when connected to my Onkyo receiver. Penetrating high frequencies, bass was not enough. No adjustment to my receiver really helped. I reduced it to a cheap ink cartridge on the machine. After some searching I saw an Audio Technica AT-LP3 for the same price. The mechanics under the disc are almost identical, but the Audio Technica is stronger and heavier. It also has a heavy rubber mat, counterweight, anti-skate and a spare cartridge if you want to upgrade. Audio Technica's sound immediately warmed up. They're made in the same factory, of course, but Audio Technica is the best deal if you can live without the Bluetooth option. Sony looks beautiful, but sometimes looks aren't everything. (Just a note. For those saying there's no way to store a 45RPM adapter, look for a slot on the right side of the base near the back. It plugs in there. If the people read the manual, they know that. )
