Those other useless products can't touch this classic stand!

I love this material and have used it in my harnesses and leather boots for decades. No gimmicks, no fancy edible ingredients, no fancy label, just a great, tried and true product that delivers consistently high quality results. Nourishes and absorbs well without leaving residue or films. The smell is light and pleasant. After use, skin feels nourished without being loose, weak, greasy or wet even if you apply excessively. It doesn't darken the skin too much or discolor the skin if the application isn't perfectly even. It's perfect for thick skin but also works for thin skin if you use a light coat and lasts a long time. Like most conditioners, do not use on suede or rough leather. Only riders seem to know about this, which is surprising as I see more and more "saddle" products being used on all sorts of other leather products. , and it works better than 95% of them - believe me I tried them all before going back to this old fallback. Maybe people don't use it because it's not made with honey, milk, guava fruit, or dragonfly farts and doesn't have a fancy label? (The label is very pretty. GERMAN isn't it? LOL) Although I love using a beeswax based repellent like Obenhaufs which is a great product. I apply this product with my hands but a sponge or cloth is fine. It's not so hard or thick that you have to melt it with your hands first, but it absorbs a little better/faster and you lose a lot of product due to the rags and sponges soaking up the conditioner. For very dry leather (particularly older saddles), apply a liberal coat and then gently flex/roll the leather back and forth, in and out, without putting too much pressure on the skin (I once had a brittle saddle this way cracked). This will separate the fibers and soak in the conditioner. Continue to apply and bend until you get the elasticity you want, then apply a good layer and leave on overnight. Wipe off the excess the next day and leave on for a few more hours to avoid leaving a film or residue. I used this method to supple and rejuvenate dry, brittle, cardboard-like leather. Also good for a quick break-in to a new saddle if you prefer not to ride in a hard slick saddle until it decides to go softer if it ever does. I absolutely love this stuff, it's classic and way better than most of what's out there. there these days.
