I have Samsung 7 Chronos and Samsung S4 Active. I like Samsung, so I decided to use their Chromebook for mobile work and school so I don't have to lug the Chronos around with its massive power cord. Conclusion: the price is definitely worth it. It's a mobile device, fast, easy and efficient. It's not a replacement for Windows (I need Visual Studio, CAD software, and other Windows-only products for school and work), but it allows me to work and learn where it wasn't easy before. I can open it during lunch and reply to co-workers or put it on the counter while cooking. I can finally leave my monstrous 17-inch Chronos at home almost every day. Great stuff: This device has incredibly fast boot times, is 100% silent (no fans), and has a quiet keyboard so I don't feel guilty when I'm typing by. Midnight. Google OS runs much smoother than I imagined. I don't miss Windows at all when I use it. It's not so strange that MAC (no need for Option & Command instead of Shift Alt & Control!) will never switch from the Windows console because of the software I need, but I do respect Google for a quality OS. Other Pros: Very nice looking, crisp keystrokes, good touchpad, bright mostly matte display with a higher resolution than I expected, good OS that syncs right away with the rest of my Chrome products. Cons: Noticeable lag when navigating the web quickly. I'm at work, browsing about a dozen websites, researching, or retrieving information, none of which have graphics heavier than the company logo. poor device and i can handle latency when i'm off guard but i wouldn't use it as my main console for complex tech work. It's faster than any MAC I've ever owned. (I used three between home and work). I don't know if this is a defect or if someone sent the wrong charger, but the first one I had came with a power cord that didn't charge well. The problem with the power cord that I had with my first device did not occur with this one. I have increased my rating to 5 stars.
