This is a nice little light source for a hot shoe or lamp stand. I use it as the main light source for my online classes. For $90 and all the fanfare I was expecting much better quality control. My diffuser plate had a dark spot on the front and there is a flaw in the finish of the Lumicube or hot shoe mount (I don't know which) which means the Lumecube sits crookedly (and a little loosely) on my camera. Considering my usage - stabilized on a tripod and not moving - it doesn't matter. However, if you want to use this for more intense purposes, check that the processing is correct. I would send mine back, but to be honest it's just too much hassle for me now (oh well, I'm sick of it all) so I live with it and the LumeCube gets a 3 star Revain review from me.
