These shorts are very soft and comfortable. The pockets are deep enough for a large cell phone. I bought them to cycle to work. I'm new to cycling and don't want to invest a lot of money unless it becomes a regular activity so for the price the 3 pack was perfect. After reading reviews of many similar products, I chose this one because reviewers commented that it didn't show through. They are not intended for everyday use, but for physical/sports activities, they can show a clear outline and possibly a pattern of your underpants. I check all of my exercise equipment in the most unflattering way: I turn my butt to the mirror, lean forward, and see what I see. And I could definitely see! My body is "in good shape but eats bread" and I've got enough ass to fill my jeans so take it for what it's worth. I'll still use them for their intended purpose, but "Squat Protection" and "Impermeability" are two claims I take seriously. If they were 100% opaque on the bend test, that would be a solid 5 stars. I would also like to point out that the fabric is similar to Lularoe leggings and not Lululemon if you are looking for a comparison :)
