I had to drill some doors I made for these hinges. I measured carefully, marked the center, punched it lightly in the center, took it to the drill press, set the depth and drilled holes. The hinges fit perfectly, the screw holes marked and pre-drilled and ready for installation. If you do this often you'll need a jig or special tool, but if you only do it occasionally then that's really all you need.
