Cuts well if it's wood!

This is a replacement blade that I accidentally damaged while cutting through a nail. Oops. These blades don't cut steel!

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Extendable

Nice blades on power tool parts and accessories

They are nice and sharp and last a long time. I went with Bosch before Olson brand, terrible mistake. They lasted maybe 2 hours reduced time.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Weight

Fantastic blade! - Bandsaw blades

Replaced a cheap Bosch lowes blade on my 12" Master bandsaw blade with this blade, I will never buy another Bosch bandsaw blade again, this thing cuts butter with a hot knife.

Cons
  • Useless features

Will buy more Olson blades

My 15 year old 12" saw looked (much) better than the new Sears blades I originally bought. I had no idea what saw the stuffing cost, but after thoroughly cleaning the bands and adjusting them to this new blade, it worked pretty well. It now follows a line or a fairly steep curve as I would expect a bandsaw to do. Buy good blades, it pays off.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Some errors

Olson Saw FB14580DB 1/4 to .025 for 80 " Band Saw Blade

After several weeks of cleaning and adjusting the saw and cleaning the blades, which I had to no avail, I finally purchased this blade. Now the saw cuts correctly again. As others have said here, take it easy and just buy some decent blades. I will definitely be buying more in different sizes.

Cuts like butter! Best in Power Tools and Hand Tools

I've used Craftsman blades on my old Sears band saw in the past and always thought they would be short lived because I'm cutting exotic hardwoods - we'll have to take care of a see They how they last, but I put this blade on and immediately went to work with some bowl blanks that I had to cut. The first was bubinga wood and the second was jatoba wood, both hard and dense. But that didn't matter to this blade, it cut like clockwork without burning and with a smooth surface.

Impressive performance

My 20 year old 12 inch Craftsman band saw was not working and appeared to be a dull blade. I installed an Olson blade 1/4" 6 TPI (80"). The saw worked great, although I did a very simple reset of the guides. Slippage was my biggest issue with the old blade, and this new blade did an impressive job on both straight and curved cuts. I tried a 5" cut with dried Maple Log saw blade for quick resaw test Impressive cut, straight and fast (yes I know a wider blade would be better for sawing, just…

My 20 year old 12 inch Craftsman band saw was not working and a dull saw blade was to blame. I installed an Olson blade 1/4" 6 TPI (80"). The saw worked great. although I only reset the guides very basic. Slippage was my biggest issue with the old blade, and this new blade did an impressive job on both straight and curved cuts. Tried a 5" section of dried maple for quick sawing Test Impressive cut, straight and fast (yes I know a wider blade would be better for sawing, just wanted to see how…

Smooth cutting blades.

I have an old Craftsman 12 inch band saw that I bought in 1968 and have used it at least once a week ever since. I have tried many blades on this old saw and can honestly say that Olson blades certainly cut smoother and last longer than any other blade I have ever bought. My favorite is the 1/4" sliding tooth blade for general use. This blade cuts through even thick material quickly and allows me to follow my intended cutting line very closely without deviating, even on tight turns. There is a…
