Here is the scenario: two elderly people over 70 with the typical lack of flexibility in our limbs. No animals, no children. We live in North Central California, there's no snow, no mud, no slush. I purchased a set of custom laser cut floor mats for our truck, but stopped installing because the passenger side mat did not lay flat and had a 1/2-3/4 inch overhang at the edge. At my age you need somewhere to just sit, turn around, put your feet in. You don't want anything catching on your sole. Out of the box, the driver's side fit perfectly with no cutting or trimming. A small trim strip was required on the passenger side, which is easy to do with scissors. The rear mat covers about 90 percent of the floor perfectly. This provides protection for the occasional rear passenger that we carry. I left the factory mats in. Some floor mat manufacturers ask you to remove the factory floor mats. There's no reason to do this. These rubber mats have small "notches" on the back to grip factory mats. These mats also have a two-hole valve. Some reviewers imply that the two holes are for factory latches. For Ram, the distance is not suitable for their use for any purpose. Also included was a lightweight floor mat for the off-road cargo area. I put mine in the bed just in front of the tailgate. Not 100% coverage but suitable for light pack or food pack. I think they will work very well and for the $50 price point they were spot on.
