Overall this is a very good multi-purpose tool. Since it is a three-application, two-switch tool, it was an attractive purchase from the start. The dynamo charging handle is good and solid. The internal battery charges fairly quickly and holds a charge for a very long time. Combined with a solar panel, this item is always ready when you need it. I took it camping and was able to reliably use it at night for late night walks or quick runs to the bathroom. The radio works great and has a good tuner. The glow-in-the-dark indicator also came in really handy when fumbling around the tent and trying to run to the bathroom. The only complaint is that it doesn't work to charge iPhones. I have to assume the output voltage is too low, but I don't have a double checking mechanism. Although it works for the iPod, this is not a problem. Lightweight and fairly compact, it fits perfectly in a backpack. This is a good item for those who need to check the weather or have an extra flashlight when camping.
