Solar charging is the easiest, Crank needs time to charge. Interesting phone charger but never used. Very small radio.

Poor battery life. The solar charger is a joke and the grip is a pain. The hand crank works in a pinch, but I only get 3-5 minutes of radio use after a 1 minute start.

Aside from the plastic case, this unit works well (just be careful not to hit it). Lightweight for hiking and bright enough for hiking or camping.

This is exactly what I wanted. I've already used it during a power outage and it worked great. It starts/loads easily and I also plug it into my Mac from time to time.

This is just what I need for travel and emergencies. It's easy to charge and the built in light came in very handy this winter. Being able to get constant weather updates with the latest storms is great. I added a small battery powered speaker to the FRX2. They fit perfectly in my emergency bag.

The battery was so weak that it could not crank properly for more than 30 minutes. (We have another one, same, old but working). Took the radio to a local battery shop yesterday where they make a replacement battery for less than $13. Overall this is a very good multi-purpose tool. Since it is a three-application, two-switch tool, it was an attractive purchase from the start. The dynamo charging handle is good and solid. The internal battery charges fairly quickly and holds a charge for a very long time. Combined with a solar panel, this item is always ready when you need it.
