Review on SOONSUN Waterproof Housing Floating Switchable by Scott Channell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This place is really fun!

This is my first dome port and for an amateur like me it works great. I've taken a lot of great shots with this body and had a lot of fun experimenting. Unfortunately, I didn't get much practice with the macro lens, so unfortunately I can't comment on that. I have also decided to not using a trigger, so I can't comment on that. The hull is very buoyant so be careful. If you're freediving, make sure you have a weight belt or something to hold onto for shooting at shallow depths. The video in this review was recorded at a depth of about 4-5 feet with a red filter. The stain (in case you noticed) was just my carelessness and not wiping the dome port. All in all, this is a great addition to my shooting gear. This is acrylic so be VERY careful not to scratch the dome. It gets scratched easily. Have fun! instead of deleting the dome port. Pros
  • Built-in Switchable Filters: Built-in 10x magnification macro filter, red filters greatly improve the shooting quality in different situations. Simply turn the dial to switch filters: a macro filter for capturing tiny underwater creatures; Red filter for bright and natural underwater landscapes. If you don't need to use filters, switch to standard mode without filters.
Cons
  • boring packet
