Let me start by saying that I know a lot about nails, have worked with the nail technician for many years and started making acrylic paints in 2002. That being said I think my kit may have been mixed up as it came with all the acrylic tools. I used a gel polish (at least that's what it's labeled) with a UV lamp. I have used other gel kits but decided during lockdown that I wanted my own. I chose this set because of the variety of colors. It was one of the few sets that came with Orange. Bottles with lacquer are not labeled! I had to open each one to identify the colors, which was very frustrating. The paints themselves are good, they have pigment and the brushes inside are good. I can keep them under lights all day and they never heal. I expect the base coat to be a bit tacky, but the top coat needs to dry. I apply very thin light coats and they stay wet for days after curing. If in doubt, I would choose a different brand. A family member has a different brand of Revain gel kit that I have used and their polishes and top coats dry beautifully.
