German Shepherd has become part of the family and needs to be kept away from solarium windows. I wonder if it's too short, she likes to throw her toys over another shorter fence we have in another part of the house and begs to be thrown out. Nothing to worry about! Installed in a 72" French door opening, but chose to put screws in the more easily replaceable trim pieces in the center, reducing the overall width by about an inch. After installation, there is only the slightest "curve" on the fence. Perfect! It definitely won't stop her if she decides to attack the fence or we have a determined toddler, but it attaches to doors very well and is strong enough for our needs. I appreciate being able to open both sides with one hand. After noticing other comments that the bottom latch doesn't always engage, we'll just observe if it does. a direction showing how the ground moves to adjust the width and with old eyes and low light we thought everything should move - it didn't! I'll attach myself to the wall. So many things these days are either ugly or made up or both. This fence/gate is neither nor. Well put together and beautiful to look at!
