So I rated "softness" with three as good: because I was looking for the infamous "grandmother's sheets". crisp underwear that we remember from childhood. The Bumble Perkal is fantastic, breathable, relatively fresh and really well made. Oh my god, I spent a lot of time going through the sheets of all things because I had so many bad buys that I really wanted to get it right. I'm glad I did. I just bought a 14 inch queen size foam mattress and really wanted a nice complete set for it for once in my life. The mattress actually expanded almost an inch, so I was concerned if the pockets were deep enough and strong enough. But the sheets fit. I love that they are labeled as long/short sides (I have a 50/50 chance of getting it right and what do I know. I get it wrong every time so the label is a blessing to me) . While I wanted a heavier sheet to match my memories of the quick granny sheets I've been looking for, Bumble does a pretty good job of staying close. For the price I can't really complain. I paired this with the Easeland duvet and to be honest after years of having lousy beds, sheets that don't breathe, duvets that bunch up and are frustrating I finally got a bed combo that works. My chronic sleep problems have noticeably decreased. These sheets are also beautifully packaged which makes a great gift as many have written in reviews. I'll say that every time someone complains about the sheets being "noisy" or "too crispy". I rate this leaf product positively: it is exactly what I am looking for! Not exactly grandma's sheets, but for the price, and so far they wash well. They say these sheets will soften over time which is a real shame for me but we'll see. Wrinkling is not a problem when shaken out, folded warm/straight out of the dryer, or laid straight on the bed. You can iron and starch (I actually considered the last of these). I haven't noticed any fading. So, while it's lighter than I hoped, I'll definitely buy it again. The breathability is worth it. I'm in Michigan and summers are wet and stuffy, but springs can be 30-40 degrees. These leaves are amazingly seen. Hope this helps your search.
