Review on Replaceable Ooak πŸͺ₯ Eco Friendly Toothbrush Replacement by Nancy Holland

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Interesting concept

This toothbrush makes a lot of sense: only replace used bristles and keep the handle, reducing production costs and associated waste. In practice, this leaves much to be desired. First, ignore the whole "chrome" part of the marketing, it's plastic. It's decent quality plastic, with good weight and decent ergonomics, but shiny plastic is shiny plastic. The party brush function is a detachable head. You can remove the bristle insert by inserting it into the supplied case from the side labeled "Out". Installation on the "inside" is basically the same after removing any debris inside the body with a tiny sweeping brush. There is a mounting hole on the back of the case for those who want to mount a small clear black plastic box for easy access. The handle comes with two types of bristles. After trying this for a few days, I basically noticed how soft the bristles are compared to my cheap disposable brush that I replaced. Both sets in the set were very soft and comfortable. Works well as a toothbrush. It's an interesting concept, but replacement heads after the first two aren't listed here, so I can't comment on replacement costs. EDIT: Okay, they are available on another listing, prices were close to $1 each. It's a bit overpriced to get into the toothbrush meets razor ecosystem, but for people more interested in minimizing their trash generation, this toothbrush seems to work.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not as good as it says
