good product but I had to check first if I needed it

It scratches wallpaper well although it's very easy to damage the wall if you're not very careful. It turns out that a spray bottle of water and a plastic scraper are all I need to remove the wallpaper I'm filming. I remove 40-50 year old wallpaper from the walls with either drywall or plaster. Your mileage may vary - I just suggest you try some of the simpler (and tedious) tools before trying this one.
