The glass is very fragile. Bending the legs in any way without first supporting the base of the wire will break the glass 100% of the time. But especially when I plug 5W into the switch for a few minutes, the tabs get stuck and won't switch with a magnet anymore. I've tried this on both the NO side and the NC side. After applying 5 watts of power to the switch for a few minutes, the reeds will remain attached to the rod you operated. I even tested it with 3W. Still stuck after a few minutes. Essentially, these SPDT reed switches are too sensitive and cannot handle the power rating.
