Works exactly as advertised

Works exactly as advertised. With one exception I am completely pleased with this device. The problem is that the slots in the adjustment screws are poorly cut (or cast?) and make getting the screwdriver blade in properly a challenge.IMHO an extra nickel should be spent on the trimpot. I would cheerfully spend another quarter on the device for less troublesome adjustment

Pros
  • LED indicator can conveniently and intuitively indicate the working status of the switch.
Cons
  • May require professional installation for proper operation

Worked as advertised. Used it to sense current to fan on gas furnace to turn on my humidifier. After reading negative reviews of it not working, I tested it first on my workbench. Fed a single wire of a 120V line through the device to a simple 100W incandescent light bulb (measured draw of 0.82 amps) and turned sensitivity screw counter clockwise to L which apparent means needing lower current to activate till light went red and switch closed (checked with continuity checker). So L mean lower…

Pros
  • With a range of 0.2A to 30A, this switch can handle a wide variety of current levels, making it ideal for use in many different applications
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all types of circuit breakers

Works but…. - my new review

It would sure be helpful to have some documentation of this device. Nevertheless, it does work as advertised. If your current is on the low side it is helpful to wind a number of loops of wire through the center hole of the device. See the picture.

Pros
  • Current Monitoring Relays
Cons
  • The device may be difficult to integrate into existing systems

onlyy.5 amp switched load

I misinterpreted your product description. This item is useless for me as it is too low switched amperage capacity Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • With its compact size and easy-to-use design, the SZC23 is a great choice for engineers and technicians looking for a versatile and reliable current sensing switch
Cons
  • May be too expensive compared to other current sensing switches

Works great! Why all the documentation complaints?

Really happy with this device. I really don't understand why there are so many complaints on lack of documentation. One look at the front panel pretty much explains it all.

Pros
  • Does what it’s supposed to do
Cons
  • May malfunction when used in high voltage applications

Works as advertised.

Switch K1 & K2 terminals could be a little more rugged, but it was a great solution. I used it to turn on my inline duct fan for my bypass whole house humidifier. It activated the fan only when the humidifier water solenoid was on.

Pros
  • High-power MOS tube contactless electronic switch.
Cons
  • May overheat if exposed to high temperatures for extended periods

Works As Expected on my review.

When current flows, it triggers a relay contact as expected. I like that it has LEDs to show the switch status. It is the lowest cost unit of its type I have found. I'm using it on the hot side of a dishwasher's AC supply to trigger home automation. The initial 30 seconds of the dishwasher cycle are too low current to trigger this even at the lowest setting, but once it gets going the current is sufficient. Having the pot to adjust sensitivity is a nice touch. Overall very good so far!

Pros
  • The switch has no limit on the number of opening and closing, and the reactions speed reaches the ms level.
Cons
  • Adjustable settings may not be user-friendly for beginners

This thing works great!

This is a simple current sensor. When current flow is detected it closes a set of contacts. SWEET! It took a day or so to assemble it in a box with connectors, wire it, and then install it. After adjusting the SENSITIVITY control, it was dialed in, Now when my AV receiver comes on, it turns the SMPTE Bias Lighting on that's located behind the flatscreen.Exactly what I needed!

Pros
  • Industrial Electrical
Cons
  • Device cannot be used for monitoring power consumption

Works great for pool salt generator flow switch

Bought this relay to replace a salt chlorine flow switch that kept having issues and not triggering despite flow. Installed (wire one leg of the pump power through the sensor) and working within 15 minutes after receiving from Revain - doesn't get better.Disclaimer: Use for this application with caution - it is better to get a flow switch to work

Pros
  • Used it to turn on sound system when TV is turned on.
Cons
  • Limited range of current sensing compared to other devices

Did not last long! on my review.

I bought this to tell my PLC when I turned on a piece of equipment that draws less then 1Amp. It worked for a few quick tests to verify that it could sense the low current but after I had it installed in my system the relay quite working. I never had any load applied to the switch, only a multi-meter checking for continuity and a PLC input channel.

Pros
  • The SZC23 is built with high-quality materials and is designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, making it a reliable and long-lasting solution
Cons
  • Not suitable for applications requiring continuous current measurement

Works great!: my feedback

I've got this controlling an ozone generator to clean up my well water. I just put the sensor around one wire for the well pump. It would be a little easier if it was a clamp instead of a donut but NBD.

Pros
  • Controls & Indicators
Cons
  • Current sensing may not be accurate under all conditions

WORKS GREAT best in my review

I used it on an RV that has 120v home theater system. I was able to eliminate the 120v home theater sub by using the 12v car stereo amp sub. The current switch turns the amp on every time.

Pros
  • Performed as expected. Could use more instruction and documentation
Cons
  • Not compatible with all types of AC sources

Compact current sensing device.

Intuitive device, easy to wire.Works well as a remote "Motor Running" indication & could be used to any AC current sensing application.

Pros
  • Really good!
Cons
  • Does not work for DC applications

Works great for my opinion

Installed this on the power wire leading to my tube amps to run a couple of small computer type cooling fans. Now they only operate when the tube stuff is running. Works as advertised.

Pros
  • The SZC23 Adjustable AC Current Sensing Switch allows for accurate current monitoring, which can help prevent equipment damage
Cons
  • Device may require regular maintenance to avoid failure
